The Land Before Time IV: Journey Through the Mists is a fully animated cartoon. When the characters talk, a bubble with Linda Bove pops up onto the screen and she interprets using American Sign Language. This is a wonderful video for all young children. The Land Before Time IV: Journey Through the Mists could be an priceless tool for Deaf children who are too young to read captions.

Linda Bove, who you may know from Sesame Street, does a masterful job interpreting the cartoon. Key linguistic features of ASL allow for a complete telling of the story in another language. This is of paramount educational importance for young deaf or hearing viewers. Deaf children will have access to a visual language while hearing children will be exposed to a second language.

Note: Sign language editions are also available for the previous three The Land Before Time videos in the series.
